So we really wanted to have lunch together cause it's been eons since we got together but we couldn't make up our mind.
Siddiq wanted to head to Ronin cafe for some awesome coffee but decided that we need something real good and filling so Huiqi suggested Lola's cafe. Well when we got there, the queue was crazy. I didn't know they were that popular!!
Plan B: Nakhon Thai. It's really good, especially the tom yum soup and basil chicken.
I have no idea why i'm so happy.
Seems like i'm not the only one.
So good, I'll definitely go back again! (if i have the car, ha ha)

After that we went to Hatter Street, which is just beside Nakhon Thai.
There was a long queue as well, haha which naturally drew our attention.
Well, i was looking forward to some really good icecream! And yes we had some sugar and calories fun time. Waffle was crispy, but i think their signature was the soft brownie which we didn't really like. It was unique though.

Their whimsical dreamer themed cafe certainly is one that is different from all you've seen so far.
Well but at the rate the cafes are popping up in Singapore, i won't be surprised if more of these youthful brainchilds of youngsters show up.
Cafe hopping can literally be an art form in Singapore now.
It's where people converge, catch up, mash up ideas and live their dreams.
We found ourselves talking about internships, business study missions, christmas at New York for Siddiq and Huiqi (lucky bitches), someone's new girlfriend, and well, it's nice to see everyone so well. They have always been actually, these people are my deeply loved smartypants. :)
After that, we took a short drive to the nearby Defu Lane cause well coincidentally i've my DSLR with me. WHY NOT? :)

4 days from then:
I started sneezing and coughing, it's as though all the flu symptoms jumped on me like imma bandwagon. All pretty photos, we always want to leave it as romantic as it is (RIGHT? Haha, that's what marketing does by the way.) But no, those pretty pictures at defu lane, hahaha truth is we were COMPLAINING.
"Gosh it's so hot, i'm gonna melt and dissolve."
"Eh Mosquitoes everywhere, we go in 5 minutes."
"Omg huiqi, there's one on your thigh!!!!"
And Siddiq spotted the black and white stripes on the one i killed.
HAHA (NOT), we were scared as hell. Lol, so yeah obviously i'm worried! Especially after my face had some red freckles-like spots outbreak. That was the breaking point.
Got feverish and went to KTPH for medical consultation. (Tim told me to go to A&E)
And it was payment first. So, bye $108 :(
DENGUE FACTS
- Doctors can only urge you to go for blood test 48hours after you develop fever. If not, they won't be able to detect virus in your blood.
- All mosquitoes are black and white by the way. It really depends on whether or not they contain the virus.
- Dengue fever is self-limiting. Meaning, there's nothing the doctors can do for you and only your own immune system can fight the virus.

So, no point guys. Only when it gets bad, the doctors can try to do something but you yourself gotta fight strong.
